A clear hours sign helps customers know when to visit, when to return, and whether holiday hours are different from normal hours. It is useful on front doors, reception desks, office windows, appointment counters, food pickup areas, and service desks.
Use the hours template when you need weekday, Saturday, Sunday, and note fields. Keep the schedule short, write closed days plainly, and add a small note only when it helps customers avoid confusion.
Save your business hours sign as a PDF

- Select A4 or US Letter to match your printer paper, then choose portrait or landscape.
- Select Print / Save PDF. In your browser's print dialog, choose Save as PDF or your system's PDF option.
- Check the preview for clipped edges and turn off browser headers and footers before saving.

Business hours signs for windows
Position the sign where a customer can read it before reaching for the door. Print dark text on a light background and check it from outside: reflections, tinted glass, and displays behind the sign can reduce contrast. Use a backing sheet or an opaque sleeve if the window display shows through.
Use the same AM/PM or 24-hour format throughout. Write closed days explicitly instead of leaving them blank. Check the posted times against your booking page and business listing whenever the schedule changes.
Different hours on different days?
The hours template groups Monday-Friday together. If each weekday has different hours or you close for lunch, use the custom sign and enter one day or opening period per line. For a one-off closure, use a temporary closed sign beside your regular hours.
Good wording examples
- Monday-Friday: 9 AM - 6 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM - 4 PM
- Sunday: Closed
- Holiday hours may vary.
Printing tips
For a front door, portrait layout usually reads best. For a counter or wall display, landscape can work well if the sign is seen from across a room. If hours change seasonally, print a fresh copy instead of writing over an old one.
